Year 1 and 2
Welcome to the Year 1 and 2 page. This term we have been looking at some exciting topics and producing some fantastic work. We have been learning about 'Our local area' in Year 2 and Walter Tull in Year 1.
News and events
In Year 2 we have been learning about the history of music. We learnt about traditional music in China. We used glockenspiels to create our own performances.

What have we been learning about so far this term?
I created a 'messy map' of our school. We went around the whole area and looked and plotted the different classes and places- It was so fun!
Edoardo - Hava Class
We have learnt about the compass directions. I can read North, East, South and West. We looked at the school and how we could improve its use of space.
Tyler - Kanneh Mason Class
We have been learning about Walter Tull. His mother and father died. He moved to a football pitch and became a professional footballer. He was the first black footballer in this country.
Akintayo - Kennedy Class
Walter Tull was a professional footballer and an army officer. He led white British soldiers and fought in the army. I think he must have been very brave.
Leland- Yayol Kusama Class
